IT’S TIME TO BREATHE

This year has been full of so many unexpected twists and turns, some have been for better while others have left a bitter taste. The constant change and uncertainty about the future due to quarantine and other restrictions necessitated by COVID 19, would have anyone overthinking and more stressed than usual. I’m here to remind you that it’s time to take a deep breath, hold it for a second and let it go. BREATHE!

For a while, I have not been able to process my feelings or realize why I haven’t done the little things that bring me joy. I found it hard to write anything for the longest time and any effort I made was futile. I didn’t know how long I would be in this weird state and I felt lost. When I finally let it out, I was reminded that everyone is facing changes, and to allow myself breathe and let things unfold naturally.

It’s okay if you haven’t been feeling like yourself. It’s okay if you can’t make decisions as quickly as before. It’s okay if you aren’t able to work on all your goals. It’s okay to feel lost and confused about the future.  I need you to understand that these feelings would soon pass and you would be back on track. It might happen on a random day, at 4 am, but you would be back to you. But right now, at this moment, breathe and give yourself time and space. Allow yourself to deal with the challenges you face daily one step at a time.

Start to pace yourself and when you find yourself overwhelmed, or feeling particularly lost, slow down and start solving your problems gradually. You can write down little things you want to do daily, and give yourself the rest of the day to rest by doing things that lift your spirt and living in the moment.

Feel free to email me if you ever need someone to talk to or you have ideas or topics you’d want me to write about.
